Canadian Progressive Tool and Transfer,
a premier builder of stamping dies and tools, is excited to announce
a new stand-alone service to our customers:
Non-contact, three-dimensional capture of freeform surfaces.
With this leading edge technology obtaining accurate surface information
on flexible, fragile or complex objects has never been so easy.
1) Reverse Engineering
From large point clouds of data CPTT will create a polygon file
and produce an exact duplicate surface model of the object. Even
if you
don’t need to replace that intricate detail today, you’ll
have the peace of mind knowing the current data is on a CD in IGES
format should you need it. This could save countless hours of machining
and hand-fitting of these details using obsolete data.
2) TurnKey Custom Machining
From the generated surface data, CPTT can machine new die or mould
components in our well equipped tool room, utilizing our CNC-Wire EDM
and CNC Multi-Axis machining centres.
3) Quality Assurance Reporting
Accurate reports can be quickly generated for the most complex
of parts by comparison of the polygon file with the original
design CAD data. Customized color maps will clearly highlight
areas of deviation between the scanned part and the nominal
design data.
Let us show you what that complex die component or finished
part really looks like! Contact us for further information
today.
